The Backstrokes are an original band working out of Grand Rapids, Michigan with an unusual mix of classical piano, blues guitar, and unique female vocals set to a rock rhythm section. They formed in 2007 for the Aquinas College Battle of the Bands. They released their debut E.P., "Things to Come" in October 2008.
