History

Beef Burger is a restaurant located in Greensboro, North Carolina on West Gate City Boulevard (formerly known as West Lee Street). What is interesting about the burger joint, is that it was originally a "Biff-Burger" which was a popular restaurant chain in the 1950s. It is said to be one of the two last locations of this burger chain that exists at all (http://www.biff-burger.com/beefburger.htm). The owner, Ralph Havis bought this particular location in 1971 but the franchise itself dissolved shortly after. When Havis' contract expired after ten years, he changed the name of the restaurant to "Beef-Burger" but kept everything else the exact same (http://www.biff-burger.com/beefburger.htm).
