Overview

Lost Ark Video Games is both a video game store and an arcade, and has provided the Greensboro community with a unique shopping/playing experience since 2011. New and used games are sold in the front of the store while an arcade in the back features a large Japanese gaming center, pinball games, and vintage console machines. Both the inventory of the store and the arcade machines in use change frequently. Entrance to the arcade requires gamers to pay before they can play.

Video Games

The store sells used and new video games for classic and current generation consoles, ranging from Nintendo 64 to the Wii. People can trade or sell their used games to the store to receive cash or store-credit, based on the store’s estimate of their value.

Arcade

The arcade in the back of the store houses authentic '90s gaming machines, and includes “the largest Japanese-style game center on the East Coast," according to the store's website. Tournaments are held frequently for local gamers to challenge each other and increase their high scores. The lineup of console games, pinball machines, and fighting games changes regularly.

Community Involvement

The store/arcade raises money and awareness for local organizations serving the Greensboro community. A holiday food drive for Food Assistance, Inc. was hosted at the store that provided less fortunate families in Guilford County with groceries. In support of SPCA of the Triad, a local animal rescue organization, the store accepts food and donations to give to the group.
