Edwin O. Trimm, 70 Dies Sunday in the Alice Hyde Hospital

Edwin O. Trimm, 70, widely known Adirondack guide, died Sunday in the Alice Hyde Hospital at Malone alter a short illness

Mr. Trimm was born Aug. 11, 1887, in Duane, son of the late Lucian and Emeline Smith Trimm. He had lived at Duane except for 18 years when he was superintendent at Gull Bay Camp, an estate on Upper Saranac Lake.

He was a licensed guide and the Duane assessor for 40 years. Since his retirement two years ago be resided at Duane summers, and at 5 Martin St. Tupper Lake, during the winter. He was a member of Mt. Arab Lodge 847, F. & A. M. and Grace Methodist Church, both in Tupper Lake.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Beatrice LaFleur Trimm; four sons, Ernest L. of Mattoon, Ill., Warren W. of Bound Brook. N.J., Milton E. of Emporia, Va., and Raymond E. Trimm of Watertown; a daughter. Mrs. Kenneth Bluteau, formerly of Tupper Lake, who is now with her husband at his Air Force Base in Verona. Italy; two brothers, Nathan of Duane and Orin Trimm of Malone; 11 grandchildren and three nieces…
