SARANAC LAKE - Mrs. Eglantine Gendron, 81, a resident of this village for 12 years, died early Monday at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Gendron had made her residence with her daughter, Mrs. Salange VerHeydt, at 41 Woodruff St.
She was born in Ormstown, Que., on August 16, 1896, the daughter of Mathew LaLande and Emily LeGault.
Mrs. Gendron was the wife of Donat Gendron, who died in 1960.
She is survived by a son, Rene Gendron of Saranac Lake, a daughter, Mrs John VerHeydt of Saranac Lake, a brother Romeo LaLande of Vallev Field, Que., a sister Mrs. Bertha Manard of Saranac Lake and a grandson Robert Gendron of Saranac Lake. She will repose at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels Tuesday at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m. A Bible Vigil will be said at 7:30 p m Tuesday at the funeral home.
A funeral mass of the resurrection is set for 11:15 a m Wednesday at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Timothy Chambers officiating, Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery
