Elizabeth Bell

The funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Bell, of 4 Jenkins Street, Saranac Lake, who died Friday at Uihlein Mercy Center, was held this morning at the Fortune Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May. A Rebekah service was held Sunday evening.

Mrs. Bell, who was born Oct. 18, 1890 in Elizabeth, N.J., a daughter of August and Mary Bauman Homburger, had lived in this area for 55 years. She was a member of the Saranac Lake Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Auxiliary 447, American Legion; and she was a past noble grand of Kiwassa Rebekah Lodge 32.

Survivors are her husband J. Ray Bell; a son J. Ray, Jr. of Saranac Lake; five daughters, Mrs. Ingleton (Marie) Schenck, Mrs. Alfred R. (Helen) Larsen, Mrs. Kimball (Betty) Haig) all of Saranac Lake, and Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Orsini of North Greece, N.Y. and Mrs. John (Jacqueline) Gonyea of Lyman. Also surviving are two brothers, Albert G. Homburger of Saranac Lake and John Homburger of Albany; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Ferguson, Mrs. Otto Wood, and Mrs. Jay Stickney, all of Saranac Lake, and Mrs. W. E. McElwain of Menlo Park, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Bell's family requests that friends wishing to remember her make donations to the Saranac Lake Presbyterian Church.
