SARANAC LAKE - Emma Spear, 83, died Sunday morning at the Uihlein Mercy Center where she had been a resident since 1970.
She had been a resident of Saranac Lake since 1966 and made her home at 50 Shepard Ave.
She was born Oct. 28, 1898 in Syracuse the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Marte Behr.
Her husband, Harold, predeceased her. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a registered nurse for many years in Syracuse before moving to Saranac Lake.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 today. A Bible Vigil will be held this afternoon. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11:15a.m. at St. Bernard's Church.
Interment will be at the St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
