SARANAC LAKE - Gloria Vosburgh, 87, of 20 Church Street, died Tuesday, September 15, at the Mercy Healthcare Center in Tupper Lake.
She was born June 18, 1900, in New York City, the daughter of Harold and Mary (Harned) Thompson.
She married Maurice Vosburgh on Sept. 22, 1924 in Lake Clear. He died in 1951.
Mrs. Vosburgh was a graduate of the Barnabus School of Nursing in New Jersey. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the Saranac Lake Golf Club and the Saranac Lake Bridge Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Rogene) LeMay of Lake Clear and Mrs. John (Gloria) Donati of North Wilbraham, Mass.; a brother, Howard Thompson of Montrose; three grandchildren, Mrs. Barbara Darring of Saranac Lake, and William and James Donati of Massachusetts; and three great-grandchildren.
Private family calling hours have been scheduled at the Keough and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be said at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, with Rev. Fredrick Dennis, rector, officiating.
Burial will be in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville.
Donations in Mrs. Vosburgh's memory may be made to the Tri- Lakes Humane Society or the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
