James Forbes Williams was a policeman who came to Saranac Lake about 1949 in an attempt to cure a case of tuberculosis. He transferred to Filmont, New York, and died of a heart attack in 1960.
His child was x-rayed every week as a child; as an adult, she found that her thyroid was damaged by the x-rays.
