SARANAC LAKE - John S. Deredita, 82, of 123 Lake St. died Sunday afternoon at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
Mr Deredita has been a barber for 32 years and had lived in Saranac Lake for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army in World War I and was a member of the American Legion. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was born in Castellaneta. Italy, a son of Pasquale and Vita Deredita.
Surviving are his wife, Claire White Deredita; a son, John of Merion, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Eleanor and Ann Deredita.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening at the Fortune Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
