Julia Ryan and Lawrence Keese, Sr. were married on November 5, 1884 at St. Matthew's Church in Black Brook, by Rev. Fr. Charbonneau

Children: James Keese(11/30/1885 - 4/7/1955), Joseph Keese(7/10/1891 - 12/8/1966), Lawrence Keese(12/17/1903 - 2/23/1963), Michael Keese(2/?/1889 - 3/17/1889), Julia Keese(8/31/1894 - 3/31/1986), Veronica Keese(9/8/1901 - 9/29/1960), Kathleen Keese(6/22/1897 - 11/14/1922), Mary Keese Kelly(6/12/1887 - 2/20/1969).

Julia Ryan Keese lived in Alder Brook, the wife of Lawrence Keese, and a daughter of Patrick Ryan and Julia Tierney.

MRS. JULIA KEESE

Mrs. Julia Keese of Alder Brook died Monday, August 23, after an illness of a week. On August 15 she attended Mass at St. Rose's parish, where she had been a life-long communicant. During services she became ill on what was apparently a shock. She lived until the next Monday.

Mrs. Keese was born in Middlebury, Vt. on January 27, 1861, moving to Alder Brook in Franklin county when about three years old. She was the daughter of the late Patrick Ryan and Julia Tierney, and the wife of the late Lawrence Keese, who died three years ago at the age of 89. She leaves many survivors and friends.

The funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Richard O'Donnell, pastor of St. Rose's parish. Burial was, in St. Rose's cemetery. The pall-bearers were Michael Keese, Edward Ryan, John Ryan, Lawrence Ryan, Charles Hough and Michael Fitzgerald.

Those surviving are three sons, James of Schenectady and Joseph and Lawrence of Alder Brook; three daughters, Mrs. William Kelly of Bloomingdale and Julia and Veronica of Alder Brook; one sister, Miss Margaret Ryan of Rutland, Vt.; six grandchildren, Sister Mary Celeste of the Sisters of Mercy, Joseph Kelly of Schenectady, Mrs. Victor Kelley of Plattsburgh, Mrs. James Clark of Buffalo, Miss Helen Kelly of Washington, D. C. and Lawrence Kelly of Bloomingdale; and three great-grandchildren, Charles Kelly of Plattsburgh, Miss Carolyn Clark of Buffalo and Miss Kathleen Kelley of Schenectady.
