Nettie LeRoux was a school teacher.  She was the wife of opera singer/barber, Alexander Angus LeRoux.

Nettie M. LeRoux

Mrs Nettie M. LeRoux died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at her home at 426 Main St. Lake Placid, N. Y.

Mrs LeRoux was born Nettie M. Wilkins on Sept. 29, 1881 in Wilmington, the daughter of Emmaline and Landon Wilkins.

She attended the Plattsburgh Normal School and was graduated in 1896. She then taught school in Keeseville, Wilmington, Ray Brook and Gabriels.

On Sept 6, 1906 she was married at the Methodist parsonage in Lake Placid to Alexander A LeRoux, . She and Mr. LeRoux lived for one year in Utica before moving to their home in Lake Placid.

Survivors, besides her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. Nellie L. Dashnaw; two grandchildren, Lex Dashnaw of New York City and Ted Dashnaw of San Jose, Calif., three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The remains are at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid where friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p. m .

The funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock at the funeral home, the Rev. William Vigne, pastor of the Adirondack Community Church officiating, burial will be in the Wilmington Village Cemetery.
