Robert Sewell Wardner was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Mrs. Martin H. Emmons of Bloomingdale.

Former Tupper High Student Married at Bloomingdale Oct. 19

Of interest .to her many friends here will be news of the marriage of Miss Hesper Mae Dewey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dewey of Dickinson Center, N. Y., to Robert Sewell Wardner, son of Mrs. Merton H. Emmons and the late Sewell Wardner of Bloomingdale.

The bride attended Tupper Lake high school to in 1938-39, during which time she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Merton Edgecumbe. She is a niece Fred Fenn of Faust.

The wedding took place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, at the Bloomingdale Methodist church, with Rev. John G. Robinson officiating. Attendants were Miss Lucille Dewey, maid of honor, and Miss Frances King of Malone and Miss Alice Garwood of Saranac Lake, bridesmaid. Arthur S. Selzer of Saranac Inn was best man.

The bride, after attending Tupper High, was graduated from Saranac Lake high school. Mr. Wardner, who is also a Saranac High graduate, is employed as caretaker of the Eagle Island Girl Scout camp at Saranac Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Wardner will reside at Saranac Inn.
