Roy S. Gullicksen, Sr. was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Fred and Jennie Gullicksen.

DUNEDIN. Fla. - Roy S. Gullicksen, Sr., 63, of Dunedin. Florida died yesterday at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.

He was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Quiney, Mass., the son of Fred and Jennie Gullicksen.

Mr. Gullicksen was a resident of Saranac Lake until moving to Florida 17 years ago. He was a World War 11 Army Air Corps Veteran, architectural engineer for the federal government, building inspector for the city of Dunedin, former owner of Jackson Dry Cleaners and director of Youth Employment Services under the direction of the Village of Saranac Lake from 1964-1966.

He was a member of Saranac Lake Elks Lodge No. 1508, Moose Lodge No. 1429 of Tarpon Springs and the American Legion Post No 79 of Newport Richey.

Survivors include his wile, Ann of Dunedin, Fla.; one son, Roy, Jr. of Saranac Lake, one brother, Fred Gullicksen of New Vineyard. Maine, two sisters. Mrs. Doris Gardiner of Quincy. Mass., and Mrs. Norma Casili of Braintree. Mass., three granddaughters, Shan, Amy and Jodi of Saranac Lake and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was held in Dunedin, Florida.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. Gullicksen may make donations in his memory to the Elks National Foundation in care of the secretary, Saranac Lake Elks Lodge 1508.
