According to Howard Riley's column in the September 14, 2019, Enterprise, Stanley Savarie was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, but he does not appear in our lists of WWII Veterans. (He may have enlisted from Tupper Lake.) He was the longest serving Saranac Lake Village Manager, from July 10, 1957, until he retired in April 1973.
