Yelp Review

Features "comfort foods" but with a higher quality twist. They take everyday dishes (hamburger, macaroni & cheese, etc) and put a fine dining twist on it. Owned and operated by the same couple as Dijon

2008-08-01 13:50:20   My wife and I just ate there last night, and while I was a bit hesitant to pay $10+ for dishes I've eaten all my life, I'm glad I went and would go again. I ordered the hamburger, and unlike the Yelp review, it was juicy and tasty (the Mustard website does mention they've made changes since opening). In fact it was substantially bigger than I expected and between the fries (served ahead of time in a nice presentation) which were some of the best fries I've had in years. For the most part the restaurant is well designed, good choice in colors and the wait staff was outstanding.

The only negative aspects were that I tasted mint in my salad and it really set me off and couldn't finish it. My wife ordered the mac'n'cheese and said that it wasn't baked, just put under a broiler quickly (she's a baked mac fan only). The blue paint on the front ceiling with some pattern effect in white seemed very tacky and takes away from the great colors of the rest of the restaurant. The same could be said for the white & blue shelf behind the counter, a nice sleek black would be much better. —TravisO
