What do you know about Australian Wildfires?
An emergency warning has been issued for the 230,000-hectare Gospers Mountain blaze on Sydney’s north-western outskirts as firefighters brace for a “long and challenging day”. Strong westerly winds have been fanning the Gospers Mountain fire, with the possibility it could merge with the 6,000-hectare Three Mile blaze near Wisemans Ferry. Many residents have been forced to evacuate their homes as the fires continue to burn. People are dealing with the destruction of the fires, as well as extreme heat and air pollution that is affecting Sydney's air quality. Australia has dealt with this problem before, however, this event is the longest and most widespread in their records.
