Brainspotting is a neurological therapy technique that allows patients to access parts of their brain in order to better process trauma to ease psychological pain. A pen is waved in front of a patients eye, and when a brainspot is reached, a reflex occurs (such as a twitch or other body movement). Accessing these brainspots allows the patient to feel suppressed emotions that they did not know they even had.
