What do you know about Chile’s People Have Had Enough?

On Friday night, Chile's largest protest in history gathered. There are over 120 allegations of human rights violations being investifated, including possible homicides by law enforcement and allegations of torture and sexual abuse. President Sebastián Piñera called a state of emergency on October 19, deploying the military. Much of the country is under curfew and there is footage of soldiers beating civilians. Through all of this, thousands of Chilieans are still protesting peacefully. The people are dissatisfied with every party: the entire governmental system. I believe this moment in Chilean history is an example of social pain because the citizens are protesting and fighting for social and political equality. The country is suffering and there needs to be a resolution to help protect and save the protestors who are being killed by the military for no reason.

Since this is a national crisis I believe it is a 10/10 on the pain scale.
