Article: "After 8-day hunger strike, Nicaragua mothers transported to hospital"

In November, a group of mothers from Nicaragua spent eight days on a hunger strike in a Catholic church. After those eight days, they were transferred to a hospital for treatment. The mothers were on this hunger strike because of anti-government protests. After the eight days, authorities cut off water and electricity to the church and blocked all exists to get them treatment. These anti-government protests have not been foreign to Nicaragua, as since 2018, many people have been participating in protests. This relates directly to our class because we talked about hunger strikes and its relation to social pain.
