People in the U.S. who experienced child abuse tend to have health problems or self destructive tendencies due to the traumas involved in child abuse. A paper published by the CDC outlined that the primary causes of death from those with abuse-laden childhoods are heart disease, and suicide related to the emotional damages involved. Before death, the article where the CDC report is referenced pointed out that those who suffered or still suffer from child abuse tend to be more depressed and unemployed or even other chronic health problems later in life.
