Mapping Pain and the Cultural Geography of HealthWhat do you know about Untreated Infectious Disease?

Untreated infectious diseases can vary widely.  From the most deadly, HIV/AIDS to something as harmless as a virus along the lines of a common cold.  Poorer regions suffer greater amounts that better established areas due to limited or no access medical care availability.  Diane Cole from NPR states in her article about contagious diseases in poorer regions and how they produce a higher death toll because of poor medical care.  "This will raise the fatality rate for many infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, malaria and infectious diarrhea." (Cole, 2014).  I decided to include this page on the class localwiki for #Geog203 to bring attention to the increased vulnerablility of people living in areas who do not have easy access to essential medical services. This location is more related to #Bio
