The Getty fire has caused 8 houses to burn down and around 600 acres of land to crumble to the ground. Wildfires have been damaging land, homes and peoples lives for the past couple of years. In California, wildfires have always been sort of a "norm" due to the dryness of the climate with the high winds; they would occur around the same season. However, the recent outbreak has caused stress amongst many people living in California. Power and electric companies have shut off their utilities during this outbreak in order to determine the specific cause of the fires. As a help to their customers, they are not charging them for any sort of bills that come with the turning on and off of the power. Moreover, another way the state of California is trying to help their residence is by making uber rides free for people affected by these wildfires, giving a sense of comfort to them if they need a sudden escape. Another thing the state of California is doing is giving a break to the firefighters. As we know, being a firefighter is not an easy job to begin with, but with the outbreak of these fires some firefighters have to work shifts that are over 36 hours. Which means 36 hours of no sleep or relaxing, or even going home to their families. As a thank you, Robert Estate Winery offered up their vineyard as an "escape" and time to relax for all the hardworking firefighters during this time. A breakout of wildfires has recently come up in Calabasas, California. Wildfires are spreading over the state of California with little explanation as to why. There has been many resources for the victims effected by the fires, but there needs to be more aid in helping fight these fires and determine where they are coming from to prevent them from spreading.
