What do you know about racial bias in opioid epidemic?

In regards to the opioid crisis in the United States of America, there is severe racial bias, particularly in regards to the after affects of dealing with addiction.  Minorities have limited access to treatment as opposed to white individuals. In terms of criminalization, the ratio of non-white individuals to white individuals that are taken in for possession of opioids is severely higher. This relates to the course because we have talked heavily about the opioid crisis as well as the affects on humans. This issue most closely relates to #social.
