Some of the other holiday events that take place in Nevada County. Attendance at these events is less than at che Christmas and Summer festivals, so they get their own section here.
Grass Valley
- Father's Day Weekend Bluegrass Festival
- 4th of July: Parade.
- Safe Trick of Treat for Preschoolers: On Halloween day from 10am-1pm.
- County Christmas Faire: At the fairgrounds, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
- Empire Mine Holiday Open House: At Empire Mine on Thanksgiving weekend.
Nevada City
- Mardi Gras: February 18th and 19th (for 2012). Opens on Saturday night with a Masquerade ball at the Minders Foundry. Street fair on sunday morning. Parade in downtown at 2pm, and drinking for the rest of the day in all the bars and restaurants.
- 4th of July: Parade begins at mid-morning down Broad Street.
- Constitution Day Parade: A local tradition since 1967. Occurs on September 10-11. Includes Civil War Battle Reenactments at Pioneer Park, and a free big band concert in downtown. Parade occurs on September 11th.
- Artisan's Festival: At the Miners Foundry on Thanksgiving weekend.
- Craft Faire & Sandwiche Shoppe: Nevada City United Methodist Church on Thanksgiving weekend.
