Cranbury is a neighborhood in Norwalk which generally extends north of Allen Road in between Newtown Avenue and East Rocks Road all the way to the city limits of Wilton and Westport. Historically, the name Cranbury (also Cranbury Plain) referred to area at the intersection of Chestnut Hill Road and Newtown Avenue. The name dates back at least as early as 1662. ¹
