Bacon Tuesday is a special event celebrated by the fans in section 149 at the A's game.
Jeff Francoeur, a right fielder then with the Royals and known for a good arm and mediocre everything else, watched the awesome fans in 149 eat bacon and threw them a baseball in a $100 bill and told them to buy beer or ... bacon.
Signs, shirts and fame ensued. The second time Bacon Tuesday rolled around, Francoeur sent the fans 20 pizzas. I don't know if they had bacon on them. There have been 3 annual Bacon Tuesdays! Will there be one in 2014?
