Bishop Floyd L. Begin Plaza

Bishop Floyd L. Begin Plaza is a small park located at 2251 San Pablo Ave. It is named for Bishop Floyd L. Begin, who was Bishop of Oakland from 1962 until his death in 1977. It's adjacent to the former site of the Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales.

It was home to the Latham-Ducel Fountain beginning in 1964, which was then called the Daniel P. Collins Memorial Fountain. ¹ The fountain was later moved to Preservation Park.
