Start writing...I remember Effie up in Knowland Park. She was moved to Portland in the mid 60's after an incident that killed a trainer in Knowland Park Zoo. In 1966 we moved to Portland and visited her there for a few years before another incident hat injured a trainer. I recall another elephant in Portland with her also. Following the Portland incident she was moved again and although we weren't told I now suspect she went to Florida. What a shame. A man made shame.
