Free Monthly Legal Clinic For Low-Income Entrepreneurs 

A free monthly legal clinic will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Business Assistance Center, 270 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza.

Second Thursday of the Month

The Oakland Business Assistance Center and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights’ Legal Services for Entrepreneurs have partnered to assist entrepreneurs with pro-bono 30-minute consulting sessions to work with businesses on legal issues, answer legal questions and provide advice from an attorney. Topics covered will include: 

  • Entity Formation (sole proprietor, general partnership, LLC, S-Corp, etc.) 
  • Contract Drafting and Review (contracts with vendors, independent contractors or clients) 
  • Trademark and Copyright 
  • Any business structure-related question (except tax, litigation or bankruptcy)
