The Unity Council is Running Homebuyer Education Workshops

Homebuyer Education Workshop June 18th, 6:00 - 8:30 pm, Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza

This two-night workshop will cover the overall home-buying process from how to go about getting financing, types of properties buyers may want to consider including "Affordable Housing" (also known as Below Market Rate or BMR's) and working with lenders and realtors. Presenters will also discuss local homebuyer assistance programs for low-and moderate-income buyers. At the end of the second night, certificates of completion will be issued. The certificate satisfies the education requirement of the City-sponsored housing assistance programs. More info here

IMPORTANT: I understand that the $50 dollar enrollment fee is non-refundable. I will be charged if I cancel late or don’t show up to class. A late cancel is any cancellation within 48 hours of the class day, thus we must receive notification to cancel or rollover by 5pm Wednesday for a Saturday class. Rollover: If you must cancel, your enrollment fee can be rolled over to another workshop within the next 90 day following the date of the original class which you enrolled in. You must, however, provide us with a minimum of 2 business days notice prior to the day of the class if you want to roll over your registration to another class or cancel altogether.
