Ingram's Food Products was a successful food company in East Oakland probably best remembered for Red's Tamales. Remember, "Tuesday is Red's Tamales Day."
Ingram's was founded by the grandfather of Mayor John Reading in 1924. Reading inherited it from his father after WWII, and sold it while he was in office in 1972.
The factory was at 1421 - 92nd Avenue (in 1969).
