Oakland artist John Casey was born in 1964 in Salem, Massachusetts. He was named "Best Artist" of 2012 by the East Bay Express [source]. Casey works in multiple mediums and media. His work combines human body part themes [obsessions?] in unique ways with fantastical features. Aside from his artistic talents, his enthusiasm for other artists and art has helped build an arts community, including involvement creating Art Murmur.
