Max Baer, Jr. (born December 4, 1937) is an actor born in Oakland, best known for his role as Jethro on The Beverly Hillbillies.
Max was born Maximilian Adalbert Baer Jr. on December 4, 1937, the son of champion professional boxer Max Baer and Mary Ellen Sullivan. The family lived in San Leandro at the time.
He was born at East Oakland Hospital, and then treated there for pneumonia when he was 5 months old. 1,2
