Currently serving as Alameda County Supervisor for District 4. First elected in 2000 to a four-year term and sworn in on Jan 8th, 2001. Re-elected in 2004, 2008, and 2012 for successive four-year terms. Seat is up for re-election in 2016. District 4
A May 2nd, 2013 news story reported that despite rampant rumors, Miley would not run for Mayor in 2014.1
Served on the Oakland City Council for District 6, 1990-2001, for three four-year terms. He ended his 1998 term early after he was elected to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in 2000.
