Nnegest Likké (born February 19, 1970) is a film director and screenwriter born in Oakland, best known for the 2006 film, Phat Girlz starring Mo'Nique.

Likké was born February 19, 1970 in Oakland to Senay Likké and Rosalind Likké, who met at UC Berkeley during the civil rights movement. Senay earned a PhD. in math and chemical engineering, then returned to his native Ethiopia to fight in the revolution and was killed in 1977.

Nnegest was raised in San Francisco until about age 9, then her mother moved them to East Oakland. Likké attended Skyline High School then attended Clark Atlanta University in Georgia. Although she lives now in Los Angeles, her mother still lives in Oakland, and she still thinks of Oakland as home.1
