The Redevelopment Agency had a camera lending program for merchants. It's not clear if that still exists since the Redevelopment Agency lost state/federal funding.
It's also not clear if the cameras are still in use or had to be returned.
2009-0002 CMS.pdf $80,000 were from Redevelopment funds were allocated in 2009 for cameras on International which may be the same as the 40 cameras on International Blvd that were installed in 2011. (see this article that mentions two of them)
