Treva Reid is the daughter of District 7 City Councilmember Larry Reid. Her name came into the public view when her father suggested that she would be a good person to fill in should he choose to retire midterm (his seat is up for reelection in 2016). Although these news reports came out on June 2, 2014, it turns out that she had already filed for his seat on May 13, 2014.
Treva Reid was also Public Affairs Manager for California Waste Solutionsand has lobbied the City of Oakland on their behalf.
