Parking downtown can be a little tight. You have a few options:

• Delivery vehicles like to park in the middle of the street. I don't believe this has any legal status or protection, so if you do it, you're on your own.
• On-street parking is mostly limited to 2 hours. In my experience. Enforcement is much stricter during the tourist seasons: summer and Christmas.
• On Washington St. and Monroe St. you can park 24 hours, as marked on the map. Also, there's a lot next to the skate park with 24 hour parking. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, this is a good choice.
• There's lots of parking at the Park and Ride, behind the Safeway. The bus costs $1.50 and runs every half hour.
