The TourDeToys Bike Ride is an annual group bike ride around beautiful downtown Raleigh and which helps bring some joy to families in need. Riders bring a bike (in working order), a new toy to donate, their helmet, and holiday cheer. Donated new toys are given to families staying at The Women’s Center of Wake County (www.wcwc.org). The Women’s Center provides a safe place for women and their children who would otherwise be homeless and helps them get back on their feet through a variety of services.

All riders begin and end at Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. Riders choose a leisurely, 6-mile ride or a longer 12-mile ride (but must be prepared to ride the full 12 miles). Each ride will have a group leader and sweeper, so there is little chance of getting lost. The routes will include some neighborhood streets Raleigh Greenways and past several downtown landmarks. The ride will finish back at Natty Greene’s for a post-ride get-together. With some hand crafted Natty Greene’s beers for the adults (2 per rider), and kid-friendly beverages for the little ones. For riders who need a bite to eat after the ride Natty Greene’s will donate a percent to The Woman’s Center. After the ride is also be a raffle for all registered riders with donated prizes totaled at $1,500.
