About Our School

Casa Roble is one of nine comprehensive high schools in the San Juan Unified School District, and was recently selected as a California Distinguished School. We are located on the eastern edge of the district in Orangevale, a ten-square mile suburban community that clings to a rural identity, unlike neighboring communities such as Fair Oaks, Folsom, Roseville, and Citrus Heights. Our average enrollment over the last three years is approximately 1650 students.

The term “Fundamental” in the school’s name, which dates back to the early 1980s, originally indicated unique educational strategies, programs, and contractual obligations. Today these features are found in schools throughout the district. However, the uniqueness implied by the term is reflected in our Senior Project and Community Service graduation requirements, as well as in the most extensive elective program in the district.

Mission Statement

Casa Roble Fundamental High School provides an environment that ensures all students meet rigorous standards of learning in order to prepare them for post-secondary opportunities. Our staff is committed to powerful teaching and learning, frequent and varied assessments, and ongoing support to foster student success.
