This commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Council in any matter or issue affecting the well being, enhancement, and/or enrichment of the citizens; acts in an advisory capacity in matters pertaining to use, maintenance, improvement and development of city parks. Special interests may include recreation and leisure services and human services.

  • Meets bi-monthly on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6PM in the Council Chamber at City Hall, located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue.

  • There are 7 seats. Terms are 1 year, at which time commissioners may reapply for appointment.

  • Vacancies are announced each November, and applications are accepted through the month of December each year for the following year.
