The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county education offices located throughout the state. It provides services which complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in the County of Sacramento". SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, legal and financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts. Its school districts educate more than 230,000 K-12 public school students in Sacramento County, and it directly educates more than 30,000 children and adults.

Through innovative programs, including the LINKS career technical education model, SCOE helps to ensure that schools operate in an efficient, service-oriented manner while focusing on education's ultimate bottom line: student achievement.
