The India Basin Neighborhood Association is a neighborhood association serving the India Basin neighborhood. According to their website:
"IBNA’s mission is to preserve the maritime history, natural beauty, diverse character and unique ambience of the vibrant mixed-used neighborhood of India Basin through community organizing. We are very active in the community land-use planning process for the India Basin Shoreline, also known as Survey Area C. Our goal in Area C planning is to preserve sufficient space for recreational, restaurant, retail and industrial arts uses to serve the projected three-fold increase in population in our neighborhood."
The neighborhood association came about as a merger of the Innes Avenue Coalition (formed November 1994) and Friends of India Basin (1996), which occurred in 2000.
Their current (2014) Board Char is Sue Ellen Smith.
