Seawall Lot 322-1 is located at Front and Broadway.

Currently it is a public parking lot. The Mayors Office of housing is planning to build 100+ units of "deeply affordable" subsidized housing units there. They will be affordable to people making <55% of the Area Median Income. For a single person, this means people making about $30,000/ year and below.

In March, the MOH was ready to submit a Request for Proposals to affordable housing developers, however the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association, the Telegraph Hills Dwellers and the SoTel Neighbors outlined "the many concerns they have with the proposed project" in a letter sent to the Port and the Mayor’s housing office. Read the letter here.

To address the concerns outlined in the letter, submission of the RFP will be postponed until after a design charrette is held.
