Summary:
SF Hillel is an organization with presence at several campuses within San Francisco, including SF State. They offer support services to Jewish students, connect them to the Jewish community, offer volunteer opportunities, etc. One program they offer is Design Tribe, which connects each student with a mentor to guide them through college and beyond. In addition, they offer programs to learn Hebrew and to travel to Israel among other places.
Evaluation:
The Hillel building is close to the SFSU campus, right next to Park Merced, so it is accessible for those still living by school. This is a great resource for Jewish students looking for a safe place to celebrate their culture and religion, and most students are happy to have joined.
