- Poly canyon trash load was 85% trash, 15% recyclables
- Redbricks+Cerro trash load was 73% was trash, 27% recyclables
- Of all the communities that Cold Canyon serves, Cal Poly has the worst recycling rate.

- Anything in a bag has to be opened up and put through the machines loose.
- Need to develop some signage.

- WIll be bringing Mr. Eco to the UU on the kickoff event
- Concert Series poster
- Electronic signage in the UU and Rec Center
- Can create slides for those screens and also send it to the dorms
- Facebook pages for all 6 programs
- Email list
- WIll be focused on the concerts more than the event

What is ASI's policy on zero waste?
- Green products in all of their cleaning
- In UU, there are separate bins
- Student government has done education events for recycling
- Can we get Recyclemania slides/statistics
- Talk to Yukie - she is in cahrge of the campus dining screens and university strore screens
- Cal Poly model made of trash could be in the UU gallery. Talk to Missi

Facilities wants to update the signage
- Maybe IWMA can provide signage?
- Waste connections has given money for signage
- Zero Waste club has money
- In every room, there HAS TO BE equal size recycle and trash bins. Not the case now.
- Would cost 10's of thousands of dollars to outfit every room.
- How can we get classes involved?
- Analysis on payback time of getting more recycle bins.
- Utilities is charged per bin of trash. Recycling is free.
- If we can increase recycling and reduce the frequency of trash pickups, we can save money!
