The Icebergs Swimming Club origins date back to 1929 and owes its origins to the desire of a band of dedicated local lifesavers who wished to maintain their fitness during the winter months. Most of the swims involve races between Members. Once a year, Members of the Club are required to swim laps in the pool after they have thrown large iceblocks in, to show that they are truly 'Icebergs' material!
If you are not a member of the Swimming Club you can still use the pool for a small fee. There is also a gym and cafe in the building. And of course you can have a bevvy and bistro meal at the Icebergs Club bar (members, guests and visitors only) and enjoy one of the best views in Sydney.
