Overview

The 11 acre flea market is a market that consists of a variety of things that members of the community are able to sell at stands for a fee to rent. The flea market is located at 825 Julian Ave, Thomasville, North Carolina 27360.  Everything that is sold here are from vendors. When it comes to food and seafood, inspectors will inspect the food to make sure it is eligible to be sold. Animals that could be pets must have their vaccinations in order to be sold. 

History

The 11 acre flea market celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2021. Vendors in the community consist of immigrants from all across the world varying from Mexico, Asia and Africa. Varying cultures make a diverse area at the market that is eleven acres in total with it having an indoors area and the rest being mostly outdoors. The business was opened by Andrew Pope in 1983 and has since been passed on to his son Vaughn Pope and Vaughn's mother Betty Pope.

Fees

The costs to rent a table to see your items would be $10 per table . There is additional fees for having a cover over the tables in case if it begins or is raining. There is also extra fees for holding a storage unit in the area. 

Days Open and Hours

The 11 acre flea market is open on Wednesdays, along with Saturdays-Sunday. On Wednesday, it is open from 9am-12pm. On Saturday-Sunday, the market is open from 7am-3pm. Auctions are also open on these days at 5am.
