COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS always welcome

Part of the charm of our market is having community volunteers come out and help our vendors off/on load their goods from their vehicles to their designated stall. We have some of our dedicated volunteers returning, but we could always use more, as it's a flowing situation. If you are interested in helping sustain our market, meeting our vendors, appreciate time outdoors and not afraid of a little hump work, please contact me. Our wonderful volunteers are what make our market unique. It's a rewarding experience and our vendors (farming is back breaking work) truly appreciate the hand. There need not be an all season commitment, but it helps. There is always flexibility with everyone's schedule. Help is required at set up, 2-3:30 pm and at wrap 6:15-7:45 pm **** Some news for this coming 2009 season: Monforte Dairy will not be a participating this season, but will be back next season! Ruth has just acquired a new location in Stratford and there much work to be done to get it cheese-making ready. It's very exciting and we wish her the best. If you'd like to know more about and/or support 'Monforte Renaissance 2010' go to www.monfortedairy.com. **** This season marks an organizational change. Scott Ciniello, has moved on to another of life’s adventures and will no longer be the market manager. Scott was an invaluable and compatible partner to me when we starting planning in 2006. As all community driven projects do, it took many volunteer hours, which he eagerly embraced. I simply could not have done it without him. Scott’s significant contribution touches all aspects from the design concept, mandate, Rules & Regulations, inaugural vendor line up to stall layout. These of which will the market will continue to adhere to. He gave much and we hope that he received an equal amount of fulfillment from the experience. Community volunteer work can be a thankless job. But, the Friends of Trinity Bellwoods and I would like to give a huge thank you to Scott for his hard work and dedication towards bringing the market to fruition. It is truly appreciated. We wish Scott the best of luck in his new ventures.

Sincerely,

Carolyn
